If you are conducting scholarly research about Walker, you will find the detailed endnotes and comprehensive bibliography in A’Lelia Bundles’s On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker very helpful. The Madam Walker papers are housed primarily at the Indiana Historical Society. A’Lelia Bundles also retains a significant collection of Walker documents, letters, photos and ephemera.
